Alpine skiing in the mountains: winter vacation at Plan de Corones/Val Pusteria

In the winter months, the ski area Plan de Corones is the focus of winter sports activities. Ski and snowboard enthusiasts from all over the region gather here for unlimited winter pleasure. A ski bus commutes several times a day between Terento and the ski area. Winter sports enthusiasts can take advantage of the sunny slopes offering a total of 105 kilometres of pure fun. Around 50% of the slopes have an easy difficulty level and are perfect even for beginners and children. Six slopes take you all the way into the valley during your winter vacation at Plan de Corones/Val Pusteria. The longest slope leads 6.5 kilometres into the village of Valdaora. In the children’s ski school trained instructors and coaches will take care of your kids. On a gentle hillside the youngest guests can learn how to ski in a safe and fun way. Furthermore, approximately 1.9 kilometres from the farm Perchnerhof there is a small panoramic ski lift, which is in operation from Christmas to Easter.

Winter activities off the ski slopes

Even off the slopes, you will have many recreational opportunities during your winter vacation at Plan de Corones/Val Pusteria. Cross-country skiers may take advantage of a cross-country network of around 280 kilometres at Plan de Corones. The routes have different levels of difficulty and some alpine trails offer great views of the surrounding mountains. The region also offers plenty of toboggan fun. In the centre of Terento there is a small toboggan hill and also the Pertinger Alm offers a great toboggan run. An ice rink at the sports centre in Terento offers you the opportunity to go ice skating and curling.
