Discover the borough of Terento
About 1,600 people live in the so-called “scattered settlement” of Terento. The small village centre is located around the parish church, about 1.9 kilometres from the farm Perchnerhof. It was mentioned in records for the first time in 1362. In the 19th century, the church is re-built in neo-gothic style, giving the building its present appearance. The connection of the alpine plateau to the transportation network has developed relatively late, starting in 1961. There is also a bus that leaves every hour. The inhabitants relied mainly on home-grown produce. Sawmills, forges and mills were located along the streams in the municipality. Discover the original character of the village during your holidays in Terento/Val Pusteria on long walks. Numerous educational trails and theme paths are located in the natural environment of the South Tyrolean village. The “Mill Trail” takes you on a historic path along ancient craft shops.
